Terms of use

1. The service

Skanare provides shops with digital loyalty cards (stamps or points), cards in Google Wallet and on phone home screens, offers with notifications, a till app for staff and a dashboard. These terms apply to shops that use Skanare.

2. Account

Accounts are created by invitation from us. You are responsible for keeping your password and your staff PINs safe, and for promptly deactivating devices or employees that should no longer have access.

3. Your obligations as a shop

• You are the controller of your customers’ data and use the service in line with the GDPR and Greek law. Skanare processes that data on your behalf, as described in the Privacy policy.
• You only send offers to customers who opted in (the platform enforces this) and only about your own products and services.
• You honour the rewards and offers you announce to your customers.
• You do not upload content (logos, text) that is unlawful or infringes others’ rights.

4. Availability

We make every reasonable effort to keep the service available and secure, and keep daily encrypted backups. We cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation, especially for third-party services such as Google Wallet or Apple and Google push services.

5. Fees

Fees and subscription length are agreed separately with each shop before starting.

6. Ending

You can stop using the service at any time. On request we give you an export of your customers’ data and then delete it. We may suspend an account that breaches these terms.

7. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Skanare is not liable for indirect damage or lost profits. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Greek law.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by Greek law. The courts of Athens have jurisdiction.
